Randy was born in California and has been fishing since he was five. As he was growing up he had the opportunity to fish Monterey Bay and the rivers and lakes in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Florida. For the past 36 years he has been fishing the Trinity and Lower Sacramento Rivers, along with lakes & rivers in Northern California. Randy was the Vice President and President of the Shasta-Trinity Fly Fishers 2003-2004. He has held, on river presentations, for the Shasta-Trinity Fly Fishers and Federation of Fly Fishers on both the Lower Sacramento and Trinity Rivers with upwards of 25 people or more at a time, as well, he has held multiple river clean ups. He has also designed a PowerPoint presentation on Steelhead fishing, called the “Steel Puzzle” and held many presentations at Fly Clubs around Northern California/West Coast. Tightline Connection has attended the International Sportsmen’s Expo. (ISE) in San Mateo, Pleasanton, Sacramento and the NorCal Boat, Sport and RV Show in Shasta County. Randy has been guiding since 2002, his passion for fly fishing and the outdoors has made him strive to simplify and perfect fly fishing techniques, in order to become a more productive fisherman and in doing so has developed his own Strike Indicator and Knot Pick Tools. (For those impossible knots). In addition has also developed his state of the art, custom axle less, scissoring, double decker, Drift Boat Trailer. Nick was born in Northern California, raised on the Trinity River. From the time he could walk he was with his father on the water. Nick has grown up fishing the Upper and Lower Sacramento, Trinity, and Klamath Rivers along with Clear Lake, Shasta Lake, Trinity Lake and much more. Nick’s passion for the outdoors and the knowledge he has received from his father has molded him into a passionate outdoors man and a patient instructor. He has been rowing a drift boat since he was 14 and guiding since he was 18 years old. Nick was an active member of the local Fly Club Shasta-Trinity Fly Fishers since he was a young teenager and young adult. He has held river presentations for the Shasta-Trinity Fly Fishers and the Federation of Fly Fishers on both the Lower Sacramento River and Trinity River with upwards of 25 people or more at a time. Nick has also been instructed by the world famous Lefty Kreh in long distance fly casting. Nick is an accomplished Fly-Fishing Guide and Hunting Guide including but not limited to archery and rifle for deer and bear.
